2 Chainz and Karrueche are prepping you for the next step.

With a few months to go before the release of "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music," 2 Chainz is looking to prove his point with a new weekly Spotify playlist series. With a new pretty girl playing the role of curator each week, 2 Chainz starts off strong with Karrueche as his premier co-host. Including cuts from Jeezy, Gucci Mane, Quavo, Bankroll Fresh and more, this first installment of "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" is certified fire. We're interested to see who the next few hosts might be. Perhaps Amber Rose will take a spin? Mia Khalifa? Natalie Portman?

On March 18, Drake released More Life, 22 songs packaged as what he's calling a playlist and what everyone else (including the streaming svengalis at Apple Music and Spotify) have categorized as an album. Whatever you call it, on Monday, Billboard announced that More Life had arrived at the top of the Billboard 200, which tracks the performance of the world's most popular albums, mostly through fans streaming it on Spotify and Apple Music. And today, the Toronto-born rapper broke his own record for most simultaneous songs on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart — all 22 songs on More Life plus appearances on two hits by other artists, "Both" by Gucci Mane and "No Frauds" by Nicki Minaj, for a total of 24.

Late on a Wednesday afternoon at Nashville's 3rd and Lindsley Bar and Grill, Emoni Wilkins, Jason Eskridge and Mike Hicks are trying to tack a bit of last-minute rehearsing onto their sound check for the night's show. They're each slated to perform a solo set, before wrapping up with a collective finale. With guidance from Eskridge, who's strumming an acoustic guitar, they ease into sympathetic three-part harmony on the chorus of James Taylor's "Shower the People." Eskridge encourages Wilkins to vamp, and she responds with fluttery, athletic vocal runs. Then Hicks, a mellow presence bent over a keyboard next to them, succumbs to delighted laughter. "You're gonna take me out," he tells Wilkins. "I quit. I'm packing up my stuff and going on home. I'm done. That's some good singin'."
